Duties -

• I was a part of the Access Engineering team at Abiomed working to develop the next generation to the 14Fr Peel Away Introducer with an ultra-thin wall sheath called the Impella Low Profile Sheath.

• I assisted in organizing and executing design verification testing for the Low Profile Sheath to receive FDA clearance in October 2022

• Created formal test methods with proper documentation and final reports of test results for FDA submission

• Updated and implemented new methods of data collection and analysis for acute animal and cadaver lab studies for device simulation.

Challenges and Skills Gained -

• Was introduced to the phase of design verification and given a large role in leadership to help lead the initiative to complete the analysis

• Gained presentation skills through team "report-outs" presented to team managers and external vendors

• Improved data collection and analysis techniques through everyday work
